Who We Are: The Canadian Home Products Trade Association (CHPTA) is a national non-profit organization previously known as the Canadian Hardware & Housewares Manufacturers Association (CHHMA). As per the past 50+ years, the Association continues to serve and represent manufacturers, brand owners and sales agents working within the Canadian home products industry, but also looks to offer value to other sectors of the industry including retailers, dealers, distributors, builders, suppliers, tradespeople and end-consumers.

This course will use data analytics to identify trends and show attendees how this data can nurture your relationship with current and potential customers.

SALES OPERATIONS AND FORECASTING (VIRTUAL)
Attendees will learn sales forecasting methods and use these calculations to benefit your business. Sales forecasting helps organizations make informed decisions and is essential at all levels of business operations. Using sales forecasts to estimate the number of deals that will close make for great insight in managing your budget.

CHPTA’s Skills Training Program is comprised of various professional development courses to help those in the home products industry advance their careers or grow their businesses. They can be taken by anyone but are ideal for young and up-and-coming managers or new entrepreneurs to the industry who are looking for practical, affordable training. With over thirty years within the CPG industry in Canada in several senior roles, Gerry has a reputation as a transformational leader with an outstanding track record of successfully launching exciting new consumer products with all of Canada’s major retailers, wholesalers and industrial distributors for many years. Building on this experience, Gerry has been training and mentoring both executives and undergraduate business students alike for the past ten years on evolving best practices in agile sales and marketing strategies & techniques. He recently became a certified executive and business performance coach. He has an affinity for translating business segment strategies into storytelling roadmaps and initiatives used in consulting leaders and their teams implementing successful go-to-market strategic plans.

Enterprise Account Executive
Elio is a recognized leader in the retail and ecommerce space with over 20 years of executive experience. After developing a $125+ million dollar drop ship program for a Fortune 100 company, he is now sharing his knowledge with retailers, merchants, vendors and brands. Elio previously served as VP of Ecommerce Merchandising at Staples, where he lead one of Canada’s largest online/omni-channel retailers. After Staples, he shifted gears to experience Sales ta a SaaS startup, joining as an Enterprise Account Executive, and migrating to Customer Success Management.
